Our Amenities

Phase 1 of our park opened in May of 2022 and features several amenities including the following:

• Over 700' of Direct water access to the Harris Reservoir, also and more commonly known as Lake Wedowee. In summer there is 700+ feet of lake frontage with the lake at full pool. Our lake shore is fairly rocky which reduces the mud and silt. In winter as the water level drops we do lose about 100' of or waterfront but still have deep winter water year round.
• Concrete boat ramp; 140' of new concrete poured at a slope of approximately 12-13% and providing full access to owners and guest to year round water. In winter it may require running the trailer out beyond the ramp over rocky shore to access the water. Please note the ramp grade exceeds 10% and therefore a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Use at your own risk.
• Floating Dock for fishing, swimming, and temporary loading and unloading of boats. Our dock is a traditional floating dock with a ramp in a "T" formation. The dock allows for fishing, swimming, and boat use.
• Our Community Fire Pit on the banks of the lake provides seating for a large group.
• Our uncovered boat storage yard is surrounded by trees and provides a place to keep your boat away from your site where it is easy to access when needed.
• 30+ acres of wooded park area to explore. Our park is on a former 32+ acre farm that has not been logged in over 20 years. Huge trees are found in the creek areas and less than half of the land is developed for the park.
• Nature trails along the creek and through the woods are planned to be built out in phases. Trails will be suitable for light hiking and children's bicycles. 
• Guest boondocking/tent sites (no sewer)! Yes we have tenant guest only sites available to book through the owner. Your guests will have the pick of several sites not fully developed to park their own RV or set up a tent while visiting the park. Some sites will have both power and water, while others may only have water. 

Not to downplay the great amenities we have at Great Sky RV Park but the lake is the real amenity here. Be sure you get out and take avantage of what the lake has to offer. Also be sure to check out our local resaurants and retail shops in Wedowee and Lineville.
